My research focuses on sustainable transportation, examining how emerging transportation technologies, land use, and related public policies shape travel behavior and associated environmental and economic outcomes. It also draws on economic concepts such as incentives, externalities, and technology adoption. My research employs a range of quantitative methods, including machine learning, applied econometrics, life cycle assessment, and spatial analysis.

My work has been published in leading transportation journals, including Transportation Research Part D: Transport and Environment and the Journal of Transport Geography. My paper, titled “Threshold and Moderating Effects of Land Use on Metro Ridership in Shenzhen: Implications for TOD Planning,” received the Best Paper Award from the Transportation Research Board (TRB) Standing Committee on Economic Development and Land Use (AMS50) at the 2021 TRB Annual Meeting.
